Acupuncture Assistant
Job description
We are seeking a friendly outgoing Acupuncturist Assistant from Monday-Thursday from 9 am to 5:00 pm and half a day on Friday and Saturday in Richmond Hill, NY. We are looking for a new employee seeking fun working experience in a caring Pain-Management office. You will have regular interaction with patients, making sure their visit is pleasant and serene. Work experience as a medical assistant is preferred.
The ideal candidate must be proficient in standard business and office applications (i.e. Practice management software, Excel, Word). Successful candidates will be high energy, positive, proactive, responsible, assertive, and extremely detail-oriented, with superior organizational and communication skills.
The right person for the job will support the acupuncturist and perform the following duties:
- Call patient's to verify their appointments
- Show patients to their treatment room in a warm friendly caring manner in the order that they arrived
- Clean up each treatment room before and after patient use
- Move equipment into each room at the beginning/ end of each day
- Make sure each room is stocked with supplies
- Clean special equipment after each use
- Schedule patients for their upcoming visits
Requirements:
- Reliable Transportation
- Excellent people skills in a fast-paced environment, able to stay on your feet through the shift, and strong physical fitness to assist with treatments
- Dynamic personality and positive attitude a must
- Professional appearance and attire, able to present positive medical ethics
- Willingness to learn and promote Acupuncture
- Ability to multitask proficiently in a busy integrated Pain-Management office
Pay Rate: $17-18/hour
Note: Scrubs are required to be worn in the practice environment.
