Essential Functions

Is responsible for the preparation of appropriate departmental records and reports.

Take and tabulate attendance records of each individual resident's participation in the activity program

Attend activity staff meetings and appropriate in-services
-
Assists with publishing of information regarding activities (i.e. calendars, fliers, decorations, etc.).

Brings new ideas and creativity into the department's planning process

Works with volunteers who assist the activity program
-
Is responsible for delivery of newspapers
-
Provides 1:1 visits with residents who are unable or unwilling to attend formal group programs

Documents 1:1 visits with residents
-
Invites, motivates, and escorts residents to activity programs
-
Updates daily activity calendars and posts on each unit
Skills/Qualifications
-
High School or GED preferred; experience working with older adults and group work a plus

Ability to work with older adults in groups and 1:1 settings
-
Knowledge of planning and implementation process for programs

Ability to work independently and as part of a team
