The Activity Director (AD) delivers a quality program of activities that is designed to meet the needs of the individuals and groups. The AD functions as a team member of the multidisciplinary team and provides assistance to other departments if needed along with any other tasks or responsibilities assigned.

The Activity Director will be responsible for:

• · Aiding residents with re-socialization skills
• · Help with improving resident’s physical condition
• · Promoting leisure education for residents
• · Developing one on one programming for the room bound or bedbound residents
• · Creating an ongoing program of meaningful activities, designed to meet the needs and interests of each resident
• · Providing mental stimulation and sensory stimulation
• · Responsible for developing a plan for each resident
• · Participates in community-oriented projects, and special marketing projects

Qualifications:

• · Must be organized and detail oriented
• · Must have excellent verbal and communication skills
• · Must be creative and compassionate
• · Must be flexible and enjoy working closely with the senior population
• · Must be willing to work flexible hours to meet patient needs
• · Must pass a criminal background check
