What does an Accounts Receivable Clerk I do at Swire Coca-Cola?
In this role, you will prepare customer statements, bills, and invoices, reconcile expenses to the general ledger, answer client inquiries by phone and email, and maintain accurate accounting records.
Responsibilities:
- Collect on past due customer invoices and returned checks via phone or email to retrieve payment by cash, cashier's check, certified funds or credit card
- Research discrepant amounts on customer accounts to reconcile and clear invoices, short pays and overpays. Reconciliation tasks include Excel spreadsheet creation, pricelist review, and collaboration with departments within the sales centers.
- Refund customers for over payments, returned product and price corrections by way of check and invoice pulls and correction and pricing backups to justify reimbursement amounts
- Handle customer, public and sales center inquires via phone or email to resolve concerns and answer questions
- Maintain customer accounts by determining if credit is valid, assess credit terms, and adjust terms as needed in order to minimize risk and maximize company profits
- Run credit references for current customers to facilitate credit arrangements with other vendors
- Assist customers on our payment portal
- High School diploma or equivalent degree/certificate
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Typing, 10-key, MS Word and Excel proficiency
- Strong communication, customer service skills and professionalism
- High levels of accuracy, attention to financial details and ability to work independently
