Accounts Receivable and Credit Supervisor
Job description
Summary: The AR and Credit Supervisor is an integral part of the Finance department, overseeing a team that handles the Company’s generated income. This role works with assigned staff to ensure all money owed to the company is billed and recorded accurately. Ensures all work is coordinated to meet deadlines and is efficient and accurate. Analyzes credit and financial information on domestic and export accounts and extends credit lines as appropriate to maximize profitable sales and achieve established company goals. This is an exempt position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leads the processing of accounts receivable activities; works with staff to troubleshoot and resolve complex or difficult issues.
- Sets objectives for the accounts receivable team that align with the accounting department’s goals and trains, coaches and supervises the performance of staff.
- Conducts reviews and evaluates credit to determine appropriate risk level.
- Reviews customer financial profiles and recommends credit lines commensurate to the company’s objectives.
- Promotes sound credit and collection principles and oversees all federal and state compliance.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business; or any combination of training, experience and education that demonstrates the ability to perform the key responsibilities of the position.
- Knowledge of accounts receivable and credit management methods.
- 3 years' demonstrated accounting and credit management experience; 2 years’ demonstrated supervisory experience.
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in ERP and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test, background check including employment and educational verification, credit screen, and to work extended hours when needed.
Compensation:
The salary range is $66,000 - $93,280. Typically, the hiring range for this position is $66,000 - $77,733, based on a candidate’s experience and qualifications.
