POSITION PURPOSE
The Accounts Payable Manager will perform a variety of tasks related to Accounts Payable and support the efficient running of Accounts Payable functions in the accounting department. This position will manage the Accounts Payable team and processes, assist with data entry, record keeping and reconciliation for the department.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Employee shall perform all duties and responsibilities with Sunland's Core Values at the forefront.
- Responsible for managing, mentoring, and reviewing the performance of the AP team.
- Assist with incoming and out-going emails.
- Compile and analyze financial information to prepare reports.
- Assist Accounting/Finance team with Accounts Payable information and data.
- Verify and authenticate customer information regarding ACH information.
- Support all aspects of Accounts Payable functions.
- Assist in the formulation of internal controls and policies related to Accounts Payable.
- Ensure quality customer service is provided.
- Must be an advocate of safety and follow safety policies and procedures.

SAFETY
- This is not considered a safety-sensitive position but is subject to the company's drug and alcohol policy, as well as all OHSA regulations.

- Serves as a safety ambassador by complying with federal, state, and local laws, as well as Company safety policy, enforces safe work practices, and proactively identifies and remedies worksite hazards.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
OFFICE
- This position operates in a professional office environment that routinely uses standard office equipment requiring the ability to communicate in person and over the telephone with other employees, the ability to interpret printed materials and a computer screen, the stamina to maintain attention to detail despite interruptions, the ability to lift and carry supplies and files weighing up to 10 pounds and to move about the inside of the office to access supplies, office machinery, etc.
- May be required to work on a project site and if so, would be exposed to all weather, including extreme hot and cold temperatures.
- Employee might be exposed to various chemicals, vapors, pollutants, virus or other air-borne pathogens, gases, uneven surfaces, loud noises, moving vehicles or machines and dust/debris.
POSITION TYPE/ EXPECTED HOURS
- This is a full-time position. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
TRAVEL
- No travel required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Work Experience
- High school diploma or GED required.
- A minimum of five (5) years of experience within an A/P Department or similar field.
- A minimum of two (2) years management experience managing 2 or more direct reports.
- Experience in high volume environment (300+ million in revenue, 7000+ invoices per month).
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail required.
- Previous experience with accounting software (Vista by ViewPoint) preferred.
- Strong computer, written and verbal skills required.
- Strong excel skills a plus.
- Must be fluent in English, i.e., must be able to speak, read and write English.
Certifications, Licenses, and Registrations
- A valid driver's license and a clean motor-vehicle record preferred.
- Passing a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening and background check is required.
