Huron Gastro, P.C. is an adult medical gastroenterology practice specializing in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of disorders that affect the esophagus, stomach, small intestine, large intestine (colon), rectum, liver, gallbladder, bile ducts, and pancreas. Our practice includes 18 physicians who are board-certified in gastroenterology by the American Board of Internal Medicine, 7 Advanced Practice Providers and an outstanding staff of clinical and administrative personnel.

Huron Gastro currently has an opportunity for full-time Account Payable III/Bookkeeper. This position would be responsible for processing invoices, reconcile credit card statements, post journal entries and maintain fixed asset records.

Education

  • Associate degree or certificate in accounting preferred or equivalent years of accounting principles experience

Experience

  • Minimum 3 years Accounts Payable - Bookkeeping experience
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Well organized and decisive

Duties

  • Enter payables into the system by matching purchase orders and packing slips to correct general ledger coding
  • Track and coordinate daily check requests
  • Process and track proper approval for travel and expense reimbursement for employees
  • File and scan invoices
  • Enter vendor information
  • Calculate and process intercompany transactions
  • Maintain fixed asset records
  • Post depreciation journal entries
  • Reconcile numerous credit card statements
  • Prepare and post journal entries
  • Bank reconciliations
