Are you an Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk seeking a new role? Then this employment opportunity offered through Robert Half may be for you. Based out of the Rancho Dominguez, California area, the Accounts Payable Clerk will be a long-term contract / temporary to hire opening. In this dynamic department, there is an opportunity for career growth and quick advancement. The Accounts Payable Clerk will match and batch code invoices, resolve A/P issues, process expense reports, update and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L, and process checks.What you get to do every day
- Perform daily processes and controls correctly and punctually, ensuring company policies are followed
- Manage customer service tasks for internal business partners
- Facilitate internal and external audits as needed
- Open, sort, and deliver department mail on a daily basis
- Verify, log and mail checks, including expediting special handling
- Operate full-cycle A/P
- Handle administrative tasks for the AP/Finance Department
- Carry out additional tasks as assigned
- Ensure invoices, checks, and other documents are properly sorted, logged, scanned, and filed
- Billing experience
- Prior experience in an A/P role preferred
- Articulate customer service and interpersonal skills, especially when interacting with those in the technical and financial backgrounds
- Ability to work within spreadsheets and databases
- AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred
- Attentive, ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
