Primary Responsibilities:
- Manage General Leger accounting functions, this includes making sure on a weekly basis all journal lines are properly posted, cost collected and system is calculating indirect cost at the approved rate
- Process draw down of federal funds in PMS, G5, ASAP, WAWF,
- Analyze financial reconciliation for all federal and non-federal grants
- Lead on UG, City and State sponsored programs audit. Work with auditors and research Directors in gathering information and submitting audit reports
- Prepare and upload the SEFA
- Manage/perform month-end and year end close
- Assist in maintain internal processes and controls for grants and contracts through our general ledger
- Collaborate with our Associate Directors in submitting Federal Financial Reports as well as any ad-hoc reports that is required in accordance with the grant contract
- Review, assess and resolve in coordination with my Director issues that arise in our grant management system
- Supervise the work load of the Grant Accounting team
- Ensure all reports are submitted on time
- Ensure projects are set up in Grants Management with ORA
- Ensure all checks/wires are posted correctly by staff
- Monitor the close out process for grant projects
Education:
BS degree in Accounting or Finance
Experience:
5 years with a minimum of 3 years of progressively responsible hospital finance experience
