Job Description


Purpose of Position:

Provide daily balanced production reports from production paperwork and spreadsheets. Provide accounting, analytical, and reporting support for Staff Accountant and Plant Management. Ensure all highly confidential payroll and human resource transactions are completed timely and accurately for the plant workforce and new hires utilizing Kronos, Presagia, Lawson, SmartRecruiters, SterlingOne, Clickboarding, Convergence, and Appointments Plus. Purchasing and inventory monitoring of all operating, QC testing, and First Aid supplies. Backup shipping/receiving and plant supervisor’s administration tasks.

Essential Job Functions:

Accounting - Prepare, enter and balance daily production reports from production paperwork. Prepare weekly recap from daily paperwork including tares. Verify ending inventory with production for MDP, racks, and batter making MII adjustments. Track all MDP and batter usage on tracking reports. Verify kits on paperwork to MII and reverse or issue. Maintain actuals spreadsheet with production totals, stick counts, and downtime including relevant explanations.

Create purchase requisitions for services and request purchase orders from corporate purchasing. Verify quantities/pricing when receiving in SAP, attach invoices to PO's, and email A/P for processing. Assign appropriate cost center and cost elements to invoices and collect signatures as required.

Maintain tracking spreadsheet for all contract labor daily and receive in SAP on a weekly basis. Create purchase requisitions for each contract labor vendor and request PO's. Email timecards to contract labor vendors weekly, reconcile invoices against the tracking sheet.

Human Resources/Payroll - Process all PAF's for vacation pay, pay adjustments, termination, and transfer/promotions and forward to Kelso HR/Payroll. Assist Kelso HR with all leave of absences. Enter open positions into SmartRecruiters, update postings on breakroom computer, and assist plant employees applying for positions. Process new hires, requesting background checks, perform drug screening, set up orientation, complete I-9 verification, request badges/door cards, and benefits registration. Reconcile attendance spreadsheet to Kronos.

Inventory management – Complete physical counts and purchase requisitions for all operating, sanitation, first aid, and QC testing supplies. Issue inventory on a weekly basis, request purchase orders from sourcing and send orders.

Shipping/Receiving - Process receivers in SAP/MII, print batter labels, scan receiving documents and attach to PO, update incoming inventory spreadsheet for QC, and backup dock as needed.

Safety - Run Off the Job Safety meetings, decide monthly topics, and complete handouts/activities for the month. Participate in Central Safety meetings and take notes. Prepare and run Safety Bingo. Assist employees with accident/incident reports, call Nurse Plus and transport employee to clinic/hospital as needed, fill out 801 forms and send to Kelso medical, and perform post-accident drug screening as needed.

Additional Functions:

Miscellaneous human resources requests

Back-up various duties of plant supervisor

Special projects assigned by supervisor

Flexible to adapt to the changing needs and concerns of Plant management


Qualifications


Requirements:

Some college education preferred and two-three years accounting experience

Computer proficiency (Excel, Word, SAP, MII)

Ability to meet deadlines

Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Strong interpersonal skills

Self-motivated, resourceful, and detail-oriented
