Accounting Clerk
The WTC Accounting Clerk is responsible for keeping financial records updated, preparing reports and reconciling statement. The Accounting Clerk role will assist in billing and payroll as needed. The position of Accounting Clerk will report to the Accounting Manager.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
Accounts Receivable/Payable:
- Apply daily payments to client invoices in QuickBooks
- Send out monthly open balance statements to clients
- Make collection calls for past due invoices to clients
- Make daily remote deposit - checks
- Match credit card receipts to charges and code/enter into QuickBooks
Utility Bills/Payments
- Download from Vendor websites
- Enter, pay and record bills into QuickBooks
- Class and enter AT&T and T-Mobile bill into QuickBooks
Rent payments
- Update Rent spreadsheet and enter into QuickBooks
- Process payment as needed
Miscellaneous Tasks
- Prepare and process monthly union checks
- Weekly payroll journal entries in QuickBooks
- Maintain and assign company cell phones as needed
- Crosstrain in billing and payroll to assist as needed
- All other duties as assigned
Required Skills / Abilities / Education and Experience:
- Ability to enter data accurately and efficiently into computer software and spreadsheets
- Detailed - oriented
- Basic mathematical skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient to Microsoft Office Suite
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Bookkeeping training preferred
