Accounting Clerk

General Description

The Accounting Clerk will assist with all aspects of the Accounting Team to help generate timely and accurate financial information for leadership. In addition, you will be required to communicate effectively with other members of the Accounting Team, Account Managers, Company Leadership, and others when appropriate. This position reports directly to the Controller.

Job Responsibilities

  • Accounts Payable
  • Manage all aspects of Accounts Payable using QuickBooks, NetSuite, and other software packages as necessary for three (3) separate companies
  • Establish and maintain relationships with new and existing vendors
  • Ensure that all bills are paid in a timely and accurate manner while adhering to department policies and procedures
  • Process invoices for payment and recommend the best way to pay those invoices
  • Compare purchase orders, prices, terms of payment to bills sent from vendors
  • Process transactions and enter all information into the appropriate accounting systems
  • Reconciliation
  • Perform verification and reconciliation of all bank statements weekly and monthly
  • Perform verification and reconciliation of all credit card statements weekly and monthly
  • Perform verification and reconciliation of driver logs weekly
  • Perform verification and reconciliation of Income Statement and Balance Sheet accounts monthly
  • General Accounting
  • Act as a backup for the Invoicing, Accounts Receivable, and Payroll processes
  • Assist Controller with the preparation and generation of monthly financial reports
  • Assist Controller with analysis of financial reports to generate recommendations to Company Leadership

Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of accounting / bookkeeping experience
  • 1-2 years QuickBooks experience
  • 1 year NetSuite experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
