General Accountant

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB*

• Duties will include maintaining financial records and ensures that financial transactions are properly recorded.

• KEY AREAS OF ACTIVITY AND RESPONSIBILITY
• Review accuracy of entries to ledger accounts.
• Process month end transactions
• Maintain and review certain general ledger accounts and reconcile monthly
• Maintain sales and use tax reporting
• Perform FP&A as required
• Collaborate with members of the Operations, Engineering, Finance and Logistics team
• Coordinate the inventory process by leading inventory counts (annual and cycle) and reconciliation to the General Ledger balances

• SKILLS NEEDED
• Two years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• Experience recording manual General Ledger entries is a must
• Must have excellent analytical skills and sound understanding of accounting principals
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work efficiently with employees at all levels of the organization
• Strong organization, time management and multi-tasking skills
• Strong Excel skills and the ability to use Outlook and Word
• Accounts Payable and inventory accounting experience preferred
• Ability to accurately prepare daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports

• MEASUREMENT

Primary measures of successful performance will be:

• KPI Targets (Inventory reconciliation)
• Financial deliverables are provided on time and without errors
• CONTRACTUAL/ FINANCIAL AUTHORITY
