We’re in search of a driven and detail-oriented accounting specialist to join the Accounting team. The accounting specialist reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer and will be expected to leverage strong accounting and compliance backgrounds to ensure deadlines are met and general ledger accuracy is maintained. The ideal candidate will have a strong focus on customer service, timely and accurate processing, meet deadlines, detail orientated, excellent communication skills, ability to multi-task, and maintain confidentiality.

This is a full time position with competitive compensation. Warm Hearth also offers a robust benefits package. FT employees earn four weeks of PTO per year and have access to 5 days (40 hours) of PTO upon hire. Responsibilities:
  • Payroll processing
  • Process vendor benefit payments
  • Reconcile benefit accounts/billing/General Accounts
  • Billing and collections for parts of our healthcare community
  • Accounts Payable
  • Accounts Receivable
  • Process check payments and bank deposits
Requirements:
  • 1-3 years Payroll processing experience
  • 1-3 years Accounting experience
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Advanced software skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Possibility of remote work.
Preferences:
  • Ability to independently plan, organize, and prioritize workload.
  • Good problem-solving and time management skills.
  • Highly organized and detail oriented.
  • Experience with Non-Profit Accounting.
  • Experience with Matrixcare
