*Accountant/Controller* Southern Premier Auto/Express Credit is locally owned and operates in Philadelphia, MS. We are in our 15th year of business serving our surrounding communities as a finance company/automobile dealership. We are proud to serve our local community with a great staff and are looking to add an accountant/controller to our team. *Position Duties and Responsibilities: *The Accountant is responsible for the following duties: * Manage accounts receivable for funds received. Monitor and record all deposits, including electronic deposits. * Monitor entry of payment requests accurately and timely. Manage corporate credit card activity ensuring adequate receipts are received. * Processing weekly payroll accurately and timely. * Provide monthly, quarterly, and special request reports both internally and externally. * Maintaining the company’s financial records based on business knowledge and comprehensive understanding of the organization and its structure. * Closing the month and producing accurate and timely Financial Statements. * Providing auditor requested information timely and accurately. * Provide general accounting support to owners. * Overseeing the cash management and treasury function. * Analyzing the financial position of the company relative to budget and trends. * Managing compliance with business filings and audits and oversight of third-party advisors. *Requirements* * Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance * Proficient in Quickbooks, and/or other general ledger accounting software. * Advanced skills in Excel, Word, and Adobe required. * Analytical problem solver with ability to identify issues, provide feedback and follow up to resolution. * Ability to prepare reports and business correspondence. * Commitment to excellence and high standards. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills. * Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions. * Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; able to manage priorities and workflow. * Ability to work independently and as a member of various teams and committees. * Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm. *Benefits* * Competitive Salary * Health Benefits * Paid Time Off * Holiday Pay
