Full Job Description:
Thanks for you interest in Telecommunications Development Corp (TDC). For the past 20 years, we have focused on managing and supporting the implementation of highly available enterprise technology solutions in municipal and state government environments. We are seeking an Accountant to support the Chief Financial Officer with day to day accounting responsibilities. The ideal applicant will be detail oriented, professional, and able to problem independently. This position involves internal and external correspondence; therefore, professionalism is essential. The Accountant will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Excellent Organizational Skills will the ability to prioritize multiple deliverables in a time sensitive manner with accuracy.
- Manage relationships and correspondence with vendors including requesting W-9s and assisting with annual 1009 process
- Process employees expense reports, verifying project coding and obtaining approvals
- Review travel expense reports for accuracy
- Enter company invoices into accounts payable to QuickBooks software
- Assist with journal entries un general ledger
- Ensure billing and receivables are correctly processed in a timely manner using QuickBooks
- Adhere to strict timelines and invoicing requirements prior to invoice submissions
- Respond to client inquires
- Maintain spreadsheets to track PO balances, status, and progress
- Process payroll using ADP Workforce Now
- Assist HR with enforcing timesheet deadlines and other ad hoc issues
- Facilitate communication between employee and accounting department
- Maintain document filing system
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Skills Required:
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Capable of handling multiple tasks in high pressure environment
- Knowledge of basic accounting theory procedures
- Attention to detail with experience in processing accounts payables, accounts. Receivables and payroll.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
