ACCOUNTANT JOB DESCRIPTION:

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:

• Review and audit sales data and generate appropriate reports.
• Reconcile related accounts receivable accounts including Customer Deposits, Credit Cards, Gift Cards, and Delivery Services.
• Reconcile other assigned balance sheet accounts and bank accounts.
• Gain an understanding of business operations to support unit-level administrative assistants with accounting functions including AP, and Payroll.
• Develop ad-hoc reports and trend analyses that led to actionable insights.
• Assist in maintaining IT infrastructure; develop expertise in accounting, POS, and communication databases, and systems to provide technical support and guidance to end users.
• Assist Accounting Clerks by providing guidance on workflow and process improvement of routine accounting tasks.
• Support the Accounting Manager by providing leadership and guidance in matters relating to the financial performance of the enterprise.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

• Must have a Bachelor’s degree in accounting
• Entry-level with some recent experience in an accounting environment
• Solid knowledge of accounting principles; ability to reconcile general ledger accounts.
• Exceptionally strong computer skills, advanced proficiency with Excel

• Proactive, diligent, professional individual with exceptional people skills
• Ability to take initiative and use independent, sound judgment
• Effective communication and collaborative skills; highly functional in a team environment
• Excellent analytical, organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
• Strong technical propensity for computer technology, MS applications, systems and communication devices
• Discretion in handling all business, financial, and proprietary information
• Must be able to lift and move 30 lbs.
• Bilingual-Spanish speaking desired
