SUMMARY
Processes customers inquiries and orders and expedites with delivery of products and/or services. Contacts other company units regarding design delivery or service matters. Develops sales contacts and performs limited sales functions. Under supervision performs work that is varied and may be somewhat difficult in nature but involves limited responsibility for final decision, some evaluation, originality or ingenuity required, knows and applies fundamental concepts and procedures, may check work of support or earlier levels of sales or trading workers. Customers are typically domestic.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure customer expectations are met. Develops, implements, and plans account related activities to achieve budgetary goals.
- Actively solicit solutions to customers, build strong customer relationships, request RFQ’s, generate quotations, perform calculations and mark-ups, negotiate pricing, resolve pricing issues with customers and suppliers, and support management in commercial negotiations. Master Data setup and maintenance.
- Maintain proper inventory level based on target safety stock & lead times by doing weekly checks based on forecast from customer; monitor incoming and outgoing shipments, monitor container status, ensure delivery control to customer; prepare rundowns as needed. Calculate Inventory Orders to place orders to Japan / others and stay within 3-5 weeks of safety stock at TAI. Update price on-time basis.
- Follows and monitors quality control measures in place to meet internal and external customer expectations. Monitors customer and supplier targets for quality requirement
- Analyze your monthly sales and gross profit numbers and percentages to budget or expected quoted results.
- Analyze and resolve your customer AR Aging and collection of AR (target 0 over 30 days aged)
- Monitor your Inventory Aging (target of 0 over 120 days).
- Reports monthly P&L for customer accounts to budget with explanation.
- Comply with all US and TAI LRTC regulatory policies and procedures. For example but not limited to: US HTS Codes, US DOT forms, hazmat, anti-dumping, IMDS, conflict minerals, etc.
- Monitor corporate and section credit limit reports to ensure that customer does not ship over established credit limit.
- Prepare new and revised credit application reports for managements approval
- Submits reports and assignments assigned by Management with accuracy and within specified time assigned.
- May require some travel to and from customer sites and for customer meetings.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 1-3 years related experience required
- Minimum of one year of experience in Automotive industry with experience in Customer Service (Entry level may be considered with degree and limited experience)
- Bachelors Degree required
- Proficient in MS Office products, specializing in Excel and Outlook.
- JDE system experience is a plus
- Work experience dealing in auto parts / international trading / international logistics will be big plus.
