About Atlanta United FC Academy
Officially launched in 2016 prior to its first season in MLS, the Atlanta United Academy program aims to be the leading platform of youth soccer development in the Southeast. The ATL UTD Academy consists of teams in age groups U-12, U-13, U-14, U-15, U-16, U-17 and U-19. Shared with the first team, the Academy trains and competes out of the Training Ground.
About Atlanta United II (USL)
Launched in 2018, Atlanta United II competes in the second division United Soccer League. The club aims to provide a platform for growing top Academy players, developing MLS prospects, and expanding the Atlanta United brand further into Northeast Georgia. Atlanta United II will train alongside the first team and Academy at the Training Ground.
Position Summary
The Atlanta United Academy Administrator manages the day to day team operations and administration for the Atlanta United Academy Team (U12-U19). The Academy Administrator is responsible for ensuring a quality experience for all key stakeholders, and liaising with various leagues. The position will assist the Academy Director, Player Wellness and Sporting Department with other duties to support the Club. In addition, when necessary, this position will assist Atlanta United II.
Roles and Responsibilities
  • Represent Atlanta United and our Core Values in the community and throughout the world.
  • Report to the Academy Director and Academy Age Group Leads – oversee administrative needs of all Academy players and Staff within the Academy teams.
  • Liaise with Player Welfare Officer to manage all lines of communication between coaches, players and parents: TeamSnap, Academy Newsletters, Academy Emails, etc...
  • Responsible for all Academy travel logistics. Research, plan, and book hotel, ground transportations, flights, meals, etc…
  • Meet bi-weekly (Tuesdays and Thursdays) with Academy Staff to ensure all important persons are up to date in terms of registration, travel and overall communication.
  • Meet weekly with Facilities Department to ensure all important persons are up to date on Academy events and Training Ground usage.
  • Compose and distribute travel itineraries; review and reconcile expenses post-trip.
  • Liaise with Player Welfare Officer to complete and oversee all Academy player registration and onboarding.
  • Liase and coordinate with referees for scheduling and payment.
  • Review our administrative process within the Academy and find ways to improve our operations.
  • Academy Home Games – prepare game day planning materials and liase with away team to provide communication and organization.
  • Liase with local clubs, sponsors and governing bodies in regards to travel, player registration or Academy operations: US Soccer, MLS-Next, tournament organizations, Major League Soccer and Adidas.

Qualifications and Education Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree from accredited college or university
  • Event management experience preferred i.e. Games, Tournaments, Camps, etc.
  • Collegiate or Professional soccer playing experience preferred
Required Skills
  • Proficient using PC and Microsoft office products, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Strong organizational and personal management skills
  • Ability to work a varied schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Knowledge of professional sports team environments, team operations, public relations, and media responsibilities
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills. Must be a team builder and team player.
  • Must have the ability to relate professionally to all levels of staff, management, players, etc.
  • Outgoing individual who develops & builds strong relationships with a disparate group of people
  • Solid character and will represent the Atlanta United FC brand properly
