Element2 is looking to hire a A/R|A/P Specialist full time to help with a multi-business unit service firm.
Responsibilities will include assisting with AP/AR, Payroll, and other financial duties.
Experience Required
- Accounting Degree
- 2-3 Years of Experience
- Ability to run reconciliation reports, and excel (formula and pivot tables).
Accounts Payable:
- Receive, review, and enter invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
- Preform weekly check run(s) (both checks and ACH) ensuring timely payments of vendor invoices along with proper documentation.
- Participate in the month and year-end closing process.
- Responsible for maintaining vendor files, obtaining, and verifying IRS forms such as W9 and issuing 1099 tax forms, while always maintaining confidentiality.
- Audit and process monthly credit card bills/statements.
- Communicate with vendors or various internal departments to resolve accounts payable and payment status or issues.
- Perform analytical and ad hoc projects requested by Corporate Controller.
Payroll:
· Implements, maintains, and reviews payroll processing and accounting systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions.
· Ensures accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates.
· Prepares and maintains accurate records and reports of payroll transactions.
· Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices.
· Performs other duties as assigned.
Other Duties:
· Prepare bank reconciliations.
· Reconcile and verifies daily cash deposits.
· Assist with producing monthly financials statements.
· Prepares and maintains accurate records.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Understanding of and the ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles.
- Ability to correctly prepare tax reports.
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel.
