Aerotek Aviation is accepting applications for Aircraft Mechanics to work for an Aviation client of ours in Rosemont, IL at the O'Hare airport. The position will include scheduled maintenance on commercial aircraft.

This hands-on position is responsible for testing, adjusting, repairing and other general tasks related to the maintenance and repair of airframe, engine and component systems on a variety of aircraft models. This position is very open to on the job training and offers Gen Fam training for Boeing 747s.

Responsibilities of This Position Include:

• Performing line maintenance at ORD for most of the main carriers. Working on Airbuses and 747's.
• Perform Line maintenance (On-call and scheduled) work on various customers' aircrafts
• Perform routine maintenance and airworthiness releases (within scope of Approval) returning aircraft to service
• Responsible for servicing, inspecting, and maintaining aircraft, aircraft engines, and associated components; effectively performs work to meet deadlines and performance goals.
• Troubleshoot systems; disassemble, repair, and reassemble sections and components to maintain full functioning equipment according to Approved Technical Data provided by the customer.
• Ensure all departing aircraft are safe in accordance with FAR’s and the air carrier/manufacturer manuals and all work performed is properly documented.

Qualifications:

• A&P License
• Open to all levels of experience
• Driver License
• Must have your own tools (tool list available)
• Must be comfortable with working outdoors in all weather conditions

Pay Rate:

$28 to $36/hr depending on experience
