• 3rd-Sunday-Thursday 11:00pm-7:30am (10% shift differential, retention bonus)

Job Description:

Operates machine tools and performs Quality inspections.

Primary Roles and Responsibilities:

· Reads and interprets Standard Work Instructions to carry out daily operating tasks.

· Selects, positions, and secures tool in tool holder (chuck, collet or tool-post).

· Positions and secures work-piece in holding device, machine table, chuck, centers or fixtures, using clamps and wrenches.

· Observes operation of machine and verifies conformance of machined work-piece to specifications, using measuring instruments, such as fixed gauges, calipers and micrometers.

· Lifts work-pieces manually or using hoists.

· Reports and/or communicates any defects found and completes appropriate paperwork.

· Follows corresponding work instructions and Quality Check Sheets.

· Follows all required preventive maintenance procedures.

Education Requirement:

· High School diploma or GED.

Preferred Education:

· 1+ years of trade school, vocational education, work experience or apprenticeship.

Qualification Requirements:

· Successfully pass drug screening.

· Successfully pass background check.

· Speak, read and write English.

· Precise attention to detail.

· Must have excellent sense of priorities and a self-motivator.

· Must adhere to all OSHA safety rules and regulations.

· Physical Demands:

1. Stand, walk, push, pull, climb stairs and ladders, reach overhead and bend to the floor up to 8 hours a day.

2. Exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or exert up to 10 pounds of force frequently.

3. Ability to safely lift 50 pounds.

4. Senses: Visual (peripheral and depth perception, close vision of 20 inches or less, distance vision of more than 20 feet).

5. Hearing: Ability to hear audible notifications in a noisy (running machines) environment.

6. Visual: Near acuity and accommodation are required for reading machine dial gauges, and precision measuring instruments used in the inspection of parts.
