Procedure Title: 3rd Shift Pick Pack Lead

Reports to: Operations Manager

SUMMARY:

The Pick Pack Lead leads and supervises a team of workers in a Pick Pack area to meet daily production goals. Reads and analyzes production data. Ensures that workers comply with quality, health and safety standards. Assists and backs-up workers when required. Trains new workers on job related skills. Recommends disciplinary actions & has input on performance

Job Responsibilities:

  • Supervises the handling, preparation, storage, safety and sanitation of Pick Pack areas
  • Leads and directs the work of Pick Pack workers to achieve production goals
  • Responsible for the implementations of GMP’s
  • Responsible of the safety of the product
  • Ensures compliance with production, safety, sanitation and quality standards
  • Trains workers on the job duties and company policies and procedures
  • Communicates with other leaders to coordinate operations and activities within or between departments
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Provides Coverage for Shipping Supervisor
  • Ability to read and understand processes, and recipes
  • Responsible timely and accurate Shipping
  • Runs scan sheets from system to complete pick pack duties
  • Responsible for all shipping orders
  • Ensure Quality & Food Safety training for team members, as well as overall employee safety

Employment Requirements:

  • high School diploma or equivalent food production experience
  • Safety and sanitation certifications
  • 1 to 2 years of Lead experience
  • 1-2 years of food prep, production or equipment experience
  • Freshly prepared food manufacturing experience preferred
  • Able to work in a refrigerated environment
  • Able to stand 8-12 hours per day if requested.
  • Must read, write and follow written and oral instructions in English.
  • Able to use scale and convert different weights.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Recognize different spice and understand the riskiness of mixing wrong spices.
  • Handle Inventory of finish food good.
  • Use of computer skill.
  • Recognize low quality spices.
  • Ability to communicate in Spanish is helpful.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $21.00 per hour
