Position Summary

We are currently seeking a full time Reinforced Concrete Modeler/Detailer/Drafter to join our corporate engineering group in Reno, Nevada. In this role, you will join 3-4 other individuals on one of our design teams. Each team has a collection of Engineers and Designers who work in unison to achieve the project goals of the team. These goals include: designing new standard and custom products, executing design changes to existing standard products, and modernizing our product development operations.


Principle Accountabilities

  • Provides engineering deliverables, including but not limited to: drawings, submittals, and other technical data. Develops content, including but not limited to: standard details, catalogs, and various marketing content as necessary. Creates user stories, process workflows, and data models to support configuration development.
  • Performs parametric modeling in CAD or CAE systems to generate product designs. Works in the Product Data Management software (PDM) to develop and support workflows, as well as product structure and bill of material management.
  • Maintains organization of multiple projects and revisions simultaneously. Regularly communicates project status with managers and Jensen Precast branch representatives. Maintains archives of engineering documentation and data for projects.

Position Requirements

We are looking for that candidate with an orientation toward personal growth and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will possess demonstrated engineering experience preferably in an industrial or manufacturing environment. Other desired qualifications include:

  • Minimum of 1 year of modeling in Autodesk Inventor, or equivalent experience 3D modeling for a Precast Engineering Department.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of drafting protocols and standards.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Email, Spreadsheet, Word Processor).
  • Strong communications skills to include both verbal and written communication.

Bonus if you have:

  • Experience with Autodesk Vault.
  • Knowledge of 3D modeling and drafting using Autodesk Inventor.
  • Template modeling and/or CAD Automation experience.
