The Howard Hughes Corporation offers a 10-week Summer Associate Program that provides a rotational curriculum within the Accounting Department, that will include Corporate Accounting, Operating Accounting, Master Planned Community Accounting, Development and Construction Accounting, as well as Tax Accounting. This position will be based in The Woodlands, TX corporate office.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work on assigned rotations and projects within Real Estate Accounting that will include: Corporate Accounting, Operating Accounting, Master Planned Community Accounting, Development and Construction Accounting, as well as Tax Accounting.

• Work on assigned special projects related to real-time business initiatives at HHC.

• Interact and build relationships with senior leadership and department teams.

• Conduct historical and prospective trend and market analysis.

• Prepare visuals and asset maps for presentations and Investment memos.

• Perform financial statement reviews to support portfolio management.

• Assist In the due diligence process.

• Participate in program activities Including executive speaker series, site tours, lunch and learns, manager check-Ins, networking events and final presentations.

• Conduct special projects within new markets, new assets, marketing, and Culture + People.

• Some travel may be required.

KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

• Pursuing an Accounting or Finance undergraduate or graduate degree.

• Strong analytical skills.

• Strong communications skills, both written and verbal.

• Detail-oriented and self-motivated.

• Ability to Interact with Internal and external clients professionally.

• Solid PowerPoint skills

• Proactive thinker with creative problem-solving approach.

• Ability to work well with others, from peer to senior leadership.

• Successful candidates must be fully vaccinated by the start of the program in early June.
