Position Summary, Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The purpose of this position is to assume the responsibility of the entire grinding operation during your shift

Job Requirements and Responsibilities:

• Standing 8-10 hours per day in a moist room that can vary from 40-90 degrees Fahrenheit
• Lifting product / material / equipment weighing up to 60 pounds
• Twisting, turning, bending, kneeling, stooping, pivoting, are some of the movements that may be required for this position
• Using your neck, back, shoulders, arms, hands, legs, and feet to perform all work functions
• You will be required to work with a scan gun
• Learn and understand the D-365 system and all the corresponding paperwork
• Scanning and issuing materials to the production line as well as verifying that all labels have the correct date and information
• Keeping your department clean and stocked
• Become familiar with all the equipment utilized in your department as well as the product that is being produced
• Learn about safe food handling practices, HACCP and safety procedures along with all company policies
• Support management decisions, inspire positivity and encourage a productive work environment

Physical environment/working conditions:

This position is physically demanding as the employee will be expected to walk, stand, lift, use hands, fingers and arms to handle, feel and reach. This position is regularly exposed to wet, humid, warm and cold temperatures as well as excessive levels of noise

• Must be able to work within temperature-controlled environments (Heat/Cold)
• Walk on slippery wet surfaces
• Climb small ladders or platforms
• Use small hand tools for assembly of equipment

Authority for Decisions:

• Employee may stop performing responsibilities of operation at any time if he/she feels it is unsafe to proceed with production or if it is felt that they are working with bad product, which in such case would require talking to the supervisor of that department along with QA

Education and Experience:

Education, Prior work experience and specialized skills and knowledge:

• Complete the required onboarding/training period
• Complete Certification Training (T&D)

Language Skills:

• Verbal and written communication skills
• Bilingual in Spanish is preferred
• Basic computer and basic math skills
